Cards on file and recurring billing

Once your Stripe account is connected, a client profile can hold a card. You charge it from that profile, or start a plan that bills the same card each month or each year. The money settles to you. Proof takes 0%.

Save it, then charge it

Adding a card opens Stripe's hosted page. The card number never touches Proof. You see the brand and the last four digits. Charging asks you to confirm the amount before anything moves.

Only the person who sees the money can save, charge, or remove a card. On a team, that is the studio admin. A solo photographer is their own admin.

A plan, not a second invoice

A recurring plan is a subscription on that saved card. You set the amount and a label, monthly or yearly. You can cancel it. This is separate from a one time invoice.

The Pro pricing card is the one that lists cards on file and recurring billing. The portal shows the tools once Stripe is connected. Invoicing itself starts on Solo.

Questions

Does Proof take a cut of a saved card charge?+

No. The charge goes to your Stripe account. Only Stripe's standard processing fee applies.

Can I bill the same client every month?+

Yes. Save the card, then start a monthly or yearly plan on that profile.

Where do I turn this on?+

Connect Stripe under Account, then open the client and add a card.

Start with a real gallery.

The free plan delivers galleries, and it does not ask for a card. Booking, retainers, and invoices start on Solo.
